AVFKW x La Bien Aimée x Stephen West – Vertices Unite Shawl Bundle – DYE-TO-ORDER

I have wanted to make a Vertices Unite shawl for forever and a day – the original sample was knit by Stephen using our very softest yarn, Floating.

When we received our custom La Bien Aimée color, Day by the Bay, I knew the time had arrived. The colors used in the shawl are inspired by the blue San Francisco Bay and the dynamic shoreline of grassy hills and deep green juniper trees, flecks of rust represent the golden gate bridge off in the distance, pops of orange and pink reflect the sprinkle of poppy and wild flowers, wisps of grey float through the shawl, similar to the fog drifting overhead. 

My sample is the Fog colorway and includes the following: Floating in the colors Kombu (D), Pip (E), and Indigo Blue Sky (C), LBA Merino Singles Day by the Bay (B), and Flock Granite (A).

You also have the choice of choosing the Sand colorway – all skeins are the same, except, you will receive a skein of Flock in Sunflower Seed instead of Granite.

This shawl was incredibly fun to knit – and I am in love with the drape.

Stephen says: Vertices Unite is a playful geometric shawl exploration filled with fun shaping techniques and lots of color. Increases, decreases, and short rows form the simple shapes. Each section is picked up and knit from the last section or worked as it is being joined to the other pieces like a puzzle so it is completely seamless. An I-cord border adds a crisp outline to the finished shawl.
